Miraflores Diplomatic Cat Shelter
This structure is a dedicated, decorative **cat shelter and feeding station**, common in Miraflores's parks, especially the nearby *Parque Kennedy* (known for its resident feline population).
The enclosure features three separate cat openings, with bowls visible inside. The design is a promotional collaboration between the local municipality and the **Embassies of Peru and India**, evident by the "Namaste PerĂº" and "Embajada de la India" logos. The architectural style, resembling arched motifs, nods to Indian and possibly Moorish aesthetics, adapted for the public park setting. The three golden teardrop shapes on top are purely decorative, adding flair to the functional shelter box.
Lima-Miraflores is famous for its treated stray cats, maintained through volunteer efforts and municipal support, ensuring they are sterilized, vaccinated, and cared for in these public spaces.
